Why Bayou Mortgage Exists

Bayou Mortgage started because of a family. I had been working with them for months — helping them save, prepare, and plan for the home they'd been dreaming about. Then, the company I was working for raised their rates significantly to protect their margins. Just like that, this family couldn't buy.

I never wanted to be in that position again. So I built something different. A mortgage company where the client always comes first. Where we shop for the best rate instead of pushing the one that pays us most. Where we tell you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear.

Channing founded Bayou Mortgage with one goal: to build the kind of mortgage company he wished had existed when he was starting out. A place where the answers are clear, the process is explained, and no one gets lost in the shuffle.

He's helped hundreds of families — first-time buyers, veterans, investors, and everyone in between — find the right loan and get to closing with confidence.

His YouTube channel and The Bayou Blueprint have helped thousands more prepare before they even pick up the phone. He's based in Lake Charles and licensed across Louisiana.
